Please note that the Maximum Claim Amount is 90% of the NET value of the invoice you are insuring, NOT the GROSS value.

Your Policy Schedule shows the GROSS value of the invoice, which will be larger than the net value.

Since Nimbla insures 90% of the NET value not the GROSS value, it can look as though less than 90% of the invoice value is insured.

The reason why Nimbla uses the NET, not the GROSS value of the invoice is that VAT is recoverable from HMRC.

The remaining 10%, known as the ‘Uninsured Percentage’, remains uninsured in order to incentivise responsible trading.
